about Shampoo

The Basics of Hair and Scalp Care【Shampoo】 The primary purpose of shampoo is to “cleanse the scalp and hair” of dirt and buildup. Despite what is claimed in advertisements, shampoo is not particularly effective for treating specific conditions. Instead of looking at supposed benefits, we recommend you to focus on what kind of “cleansing agent” is used in your shampoo. Take a look at your current shampoo’s ingredients. Do you see “Sodium Laureth Sulfate” a strong surfactant, listed under it? If ever, we recommend you to consider using “Sulfate-free” products. And what is more important is the amount of shampoo used. In fact, up to 80% of excess sebum, dirt, and styling product can be removed with warm water / around body temperature, before applying any shampoo. 《Recommended Pre-Rinse Time》 *Short hair: 30 seconds or more *Medium hair: 60 seconds or more *Long hair: 90 seconds or more By thoroughly pre-rinsing, you can cut shampoo usage in half. Many people tend to use unnecessary amount of shampoo. 《Ideal Shampoo Amount》 If the bubbles start to fade after 20 seconds, you are using the right amount. Contrary to what is shown in advertisements, having rich, foamy bubbles is not beneficial. In fact, excessive foam can strip your hair of “Ceramides and moisture” that helps it maintained, potentially leads to your hair aging. Especially for those with dry or sensitive skin, we recommend using shampoo every other day, or reducing frequency. **You can rinse your hair with just water multiple times a day, but not shampoo more than once a day. Start it by reducing the amount of shampoo, and once you’re used to it, reduce how often you shampoo. You might feel unsure at first, but give it a month you will likely notice positive changes in your scalp condition. As your scalp stops wasting energy to constantly replenishing lost moisture, it can redirect that energy toward healthy hair growth. **The result could differ depending on individual condition if discomfort occurs, feel free to return to your usual routine. Lastly, please remember to rinse thoroughly after shampooing. Residue left on the scalp can cause dandruff.

Conditioner

Restoring Moisture Only to the Hair After shampooing, it is essential to restore moisture to the hair itself not the scalp using a conditioner or hair treatment. Please be careful not to apply conditioner or hair mask directly on the scalp. If it remains on the scalp, it can clog pores, leading to dandruffs and irritation. If you have very short hair and have not had any perm or color treatments, you may not need to use conditioner at all. For those with medium to long hair, it’s best to use a wide-tooth comb before rinsing to spread the conditioner or hair mask evenly. Wet hair is fragile and more prone to damage so please comb gently. Afterward, rinse thoroughly, making sure no residue remains on your neck, shoulders, or back, as leftover product can cause acnes. Conditioner can be rinsed out immediately. Hair masks (deep conditioning treatments), however, are more effective when left in the hair for about 3 minutes to allow absorption. 《Protecting Hair from Seach & Pool Care》 Before swimming, rinse your hair lightly with water and apply a small amount of conditioner or hair mask. Then, use a wide-tooth comb to spread it evenly and tie it up without rinsing. This coating helps protect the hair from damage caused by saltwater or chlorine. If you have colored or permed hair, this is especially recommended. Don’t forget to apply sunscreen to your scalp on days with high UV index. The sun in this region is strong throughout the year, and ultraviolet rays are essentially the “Aging rays” for both skin and hair. Protecting against UV exposure is key to maintaining a youthful appearance.

Hair Dryer

After Shampoo/ Always Use a【Hair Dryer】 It is essential to dry your hair and scalp properly after bath. Our scalp naturally hosts a variety of bacteria (known as the skin’s microbiome), but keeping your scalp wet for too long can disrupt this balance, potentially leading to dandruff, and unpleasant odors. Additionally, wet hair is highly vulnerable to damage especially to the cuticles and this can reduce the longevity of color and perm treatments. Using a hair dryer with “warm air” helps the cuticles to close and stabilizes the bacterial balance of the scalp. Ideally, wash your hair in the evening, but never go to bed with wet hair. Avoid drying your hair too long with high heat, as this can cause damage. If your dryer has a medium heat setting, that’s best. Otherwise, be sure to switch to cool air occasionally to reduce heat damage. 《Before Drying: Protect Your Hair》 If you have medium to long hair, it is highly recommended to use a water-based “Out-Bath Treatment” before blow-drying. Avoid oil-based products at this stage. ↷ ↷ If you don’t have an out-bath treatment, you can even use your Skin lotions as a substitute. Because it’s a skincare product, it’s gentle enough to be applied to both your scalp and your hair after bath. It adds light moisture and helps protect against the heat of the dryer.

Scalp Massage

“Aging comes down from the Scalp.” Prevent this with【Scalp Massage】 Scalp massage is essential not only for your long-term beauty it also plays a key role in your mental well-being. Just like brushing your teeth, make it a part of your routine. 《Why Scalp Massage Matters》 The scalp sits at the highest point of your body, and it's filled with delicate capillaries. Due to gravity, blood and lymphatic flow in this area easily become stagnant, especially without stimulation. This can lead to: Thinning hair, Hair loss and Sagging facial skin. Simple & Free Just Your Willpower. You can perform scalp massage anytime, as often as you like. It costs nothing just your intention and a minute of your time.
